Domaine Herve Murat Beanne 1er Cru Tuvilains 2010

Ancient vines planted by grand-père in 1947 within a superb parcel on clay soil situated towards the bottom of the ‘coteau’ between Beaune and Pommard. The nose is almost nebbiolo-like in its complex red fruit (especially pomegranate and strawberry). Mouth-watering, sappy, juicy, pinot goodness, it drenches the palate with wonderfully pure, delicate flavours. Just the faintest whisper of oak seasons the long nuanced finish.

'Neat wine. Translucent color to the point of vanishing.  Mouthfeel was light but the palate was medium bodied. High toned, good fruit and acids. Really nice mouthfeel,so elegant.  Acidity softened over time. A minimal intervention wine that I suspect gets you closer to what Pinot noir from Burgundy should.'CellarTracker, 91/100

Domaine Jean-Marc Bouley Volnay 1 Cru Clos Des Chene 2010
CellarTracker - Simply stunning. This is such a classic, pure Volnay with concentrated fruit and an attractive stoniness -- all while remaining weightless. The wine has a lovely intensity, medium cherry notes, bright, good acidity texture with fine tannins. Somewhat darker fruit profile when compared to the Cailleret. Long savoury finish without any dryness. A silly bargain. Buy all you can.' - CellarTracker, 95/100

Domaine Amoux Lachaux Vosne Romanee Les Hautes Maizieres 2010
'Pretty closed at the moment, but there is quite some potential. Nose of sweet spices, some cherries, minerals and some smoke. Similar flavors on the palate. It's medium+ bodied snd pretty.dense, with medium-high acidity and medium+ tannin that is silky. Good length. Not very expressive at the moment but really nice texture and balance. I guess with a few more years in bottle this will be even better. '- CellarTracker, 90/100
