Critics Ratings

Mas de Boislauzon Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2005'
Saturated ruby. The nose offers a perfumed, wild array of red and dark berries, flowers, herbs and cured meat. Stains the palate with sappy raspberry and mulberry flavors, with lavender and rose pastille qualities kicking in on the close. This boasts excellent finishing clarity and thrust.’ - Josh Raynolds, Vinous, 91/100 (Jan 2008)

'A dark, juicy style, with lots of fig cake, black currant preserve, aged tobacco and graphite notes running along fine-grained tannins. Has a nice mineral- and spice-filled finish.' - James Molesworth, Wine Spectator, 91/100 (Dec 2007)

Perrin & Fils Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Sinards 2004
‘Medium red. Smoky raspberry, cherry and anise on the nose, with a light suggestion of grilled meat. Focused and pure, with crisp red berry and cherry preserve flavors lifted by gentle acidity. Finishes on a bright mineral note, showing more elegance than last year. A textbook example of the vintage, this is made from Beaucastel’s young vines.’ - Josh Raynolds, Vinous, 90/100 (Jan 2007)

Domaine de Cabasse Gigondas 2004
'Open-knit and perfumy, with notes of cocoa powder, spice, black cherry and currant, followed by a hint of sandalwood on the finish. Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. 840 cases made.' - James Molesworth, Wine Spectator (Nov 2007)
