About this Item
With a history stretching back further than most domaines in the appellation, Delas Frères is considered one of the Rhône’s top producers. The domaine was formed in 1835 by Philippe Delas and Charles Audibert when they purchased Maisons Junique. Passed down the Delas family, by the 1960s, the estate had grown to include holdings in Côte-Rôtie, Hermitage, Cornas and Condrieu as well as in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. In 1993, Delas Freres was taken over by Louis Roederer. Today, Delas Frères is most recognised for its Syrah-based wines from the Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie and Crozes-Hermitages appellations.

Critics Ratings
‘Every bit as good as the 2012, the 2013 Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes Blanc is 100% Marsanne that spent 12 months in 100% new French oak. Full-bodied, concentrated and layered, with subtle vanilla, honeyed citrus and mint, it has awesome purity, a big mid-palate and rock-star length. It too will have two decades or more of longevity.’ - Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, 96/100 (Dec 2014)
‘Features a lovely mouthfeel, with caressing mango, peach and papaya flavors draped over racy bitter almond, orange zest and verbena notes. The long finish picks up green plum, salted butter and bitter almond notes. Approachable and well-integrated already, but this should easily stretch out with cellaring. The balance is impeccable. Drink now through 2025.’ - James Molesworth, Wine Advocate, 94/100 (Nov 2015)
