Groot Constantia Gold Selection
Gouverneurs Reserve 2009 - 2011 (3 x 750ml)
This exceptional collection of three consecutive vintages of the Estate’s flagship wine, is testimony of Groot Constantia’s ability to produce award winning wine on an annual basis. All three have won at least two gold medals at various local and/or international shows.
Groot Constantia Grand Constance 2017 (1 x 375ml)
The dessert wine was made famous by none other than the likes of Napoleon and Jane Austen. Napoleon’s favourite wine originated from “Grand Constance”, the French translation for Groot Constantia. Produced from Red and White Muscat de Frontignan grapes. The White Muscat is complemented with a small percentage of Red Muscat, giving this dessert wine a mesmerising amber hue. The nose shows an abundance of ripe and dried fruit, such as crushed pineapple, apricot, and raisins. The ageing in barrels adds some wood spice and a hint of honey to the wine. The dried fruit and honey follow on the palate, and a fresh acidity balances the sweetness.
Gouverneurs Reserve Red Reserve 2019 (1 x 1500ml)
The flagship of the estate shows layers of flavour on the nose, like black current, ripe plums, tobacco, dark chocolate and toasted oak. The ripe fruit and subtle use of oak follows on the palate and is framed by a firm tannin structure. Bordeaux-style blend.
