Naudé Wines is the culmination of a journey that began more than 30 years ago. Since the first harvest, Ian Naudé has worked all over the world, hoping to craft wines that tell a story of time and place.

'I love the diversity we have in South Africa. Not just of the people, but the soils, the microclimates, and the wine varietals that thrive under their own unique conditions. I’m fortunate to have been introduced to a few of these vineyards, and work with some of the wonderful grapes that they produce, many of these from certified old vines. The grapes on these vines are storied, complex and unique. Each year they represent something different – whatever nature allows them – and with any luck, I don’t get in the way.' - Ian Naude, Winemaker

Branded Naudé Wooden Box:
Cinsault 2015 (2 x 750ml)
Oupa Willem Red Blend 2019 (2 x 750ml)
Langpad Colombard 2022 (2 x 750ml)

A collection of Ian Naudé’s wines, each with a story attached to it. The LANGPAD Colombard that travels a long road (langpad means long road in Afrikaans) from the Vredendal-area where it is grown, 30km from the ocean, producing a salinity that makes you want more. The Cinsault entered Ian’s life in an amusing way but allowed him to create a complex wine with notes of rose petal and Turkish delight, and in a way, started the rebirth of Cinsault. Followed by the Cinsault-Cabernet Sauvignon red blend, Oupa Willem (named after Ian’s grandfather), takes you back to the 60s and 70s when the Cape Heritage blend was considered South Africa’s premium red wine. Oupa Willem filled those shoes in a grand way and will do so for many years to come.
