A Japanese Imari bowl, late Meiji Period (1868-1912)
the centre loosely painted with a basket of flowers enclosed by panels of flowers and butterflies, wavy rim, the reverse similarly painted with diaper border, 9cm high, 21cm diameter; and a Japanese Imari bowl, Meiji Period (1868-1912), painted to the centre with a flowerhead in underglaze-blue, enclosed by a band, divided by enamelled cell, diaper and fan borders, of ho-ho birds and flowers before rocky outcrops, the exterior with scrolling foliage and over-decorated flowerheads, six-character underglaze-blue mark, restored, 13,5cm high, 28,5cm diameter
