About this Item
Straddled between the Stellenbosch and Helderberg mountains, with less than 30 hectares of scattered high-altitude vineyards, Keermont was started by the Wraith family in 2003 and was formed by combining 2 adjacent farms. Relaxed yet quality-focused Alex Starey has been in charge of the wines since redevelopment and planting in 2005, producing the maiden 2007.

Critics Ratings
‘In 2015 this has the lighter colour and brighter, redder spicy fruit of the pair of single-vineyard Syrahs, though also with darker aspects. Well structured and elegant; sweet fruit lurks in the depths, before a good dry finish.’ - Platter’s SA Wine Guide 2020, 4.5* (92/100)
‘Single vineyard on the Stellenboschberg, with rocky soils. Open fermenters. 20 months in 500-litre, used French oak. Coal smoke, black pepper, dark chocolate and granite mineral, with deep, rich, savoury blackberry. Fine, firm tannins and an inky, stony, long finish.’ - Tim Jackson MW, JancisRobinson.com, 17/20 (Dec 2019)
