Critics Ratings
‘Lush red fruit & cigarbox, 2007 is handsome, well-built, remarkably amenable given its 18 mths all-new Fr brl regime; fully melded.’ – Platter’s SA Wine Guide, 4* (2011)
‘Bright, dark ruby-red. Plum, licorice, menthol and cigar box scents, complicated by sexy smoky oak and herbal nuances. Lush but firm, with a layered texture and very good definition and grip to the pure dark fruit flavors. Deeper than the merlot, with plenty of stuffing to support its all-new French oak. Finishes firmly tannic and long. This should expand with several years of bottle aging.’ – Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, 90+/100 (Mar 2011)
