About this Item

1973 Cabernet Sauvignon
1 (1 x 1) 750ml

Founded in 1682, Rustenberg Estate on the Simonsberg foothills is one of the most historic and picturesque farms in South Africa. The farm was previously split into two estates, until 1945 when industrialist Peter Barlow purchased both farms and reunited them. Rustenberg is family-owned with son of Peter Barlow, Simon, owning the estate and grandson, Murray (2 x Diners Club Young Winemaker of the Year) now cellar master.

The now legendary Cabernet Sauvignon 1973 remains one of the finest wines of the era and is still in remarkable condition today. Pristine bottles are now extremely rare.
