About this Item
Château Clerc Milon is a wine estate in the Pauillac district of the Médoc, rated as a fifth growth in the Bordeaux Classification of 1855. The Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant wine is known for its supple texture and is regarded as something of a bargain for the appellation. The history of the estate began with the disposal of the larger Lafite estates during the French Revolution, with the Clerc family buying a portion near the hamlet of Milon. In 1970, Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Mouton Rothschild bought the property which has been extended and continuously improved over succeeding decades. The label's two dancers represent a 17th Century work in gold and precious stones displayed at the Museum of Wine in Art at Château Mouton Rothschild.

Critics Ratings
'This outstanding effort displays loads of cassis fruit interwoven with notions of espresso roast, white chocolate, and menthol. It possesses a terrific front end, good mid-section, and moderately high tannin in the finish. Approximately 15,000 cases were produced. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2025.’ – Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, 90/100 (Jun 2007)
'Raspberry and blackberry aromas follow through to a medium- to full-bodied palate, with velvety tannins and a caressing finish.’ – Wine Spectator, 90/100 (Mar 2007)
‘This finely structured wine offers good aging possibilities. But, for the moment, it has great acidity, juicy red fruits, solid tannins and a powerful new wood element that has come well into balance.’ – Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, 90/100 (Jan 2007)
