About this Item

1982 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses
1 (1 x 1) 750ml

In 1880, a 22-year-old Joseph Drouhin settled in Beaune and founded his own wine company. His son Maurice succeeded him and established a domaine for the Drouhin house by buying land in outstanding appellations including the famous Clos des Mouches and Clos de Vougeot. Today, 4th generation Véronique Drouhin continues the family’s prestigious Burgundy legacy. With 73 hectares of biodynamically-farmed vines, Joseph Drouhin is one of Burgundy’s largest estates. With vineyards in close to 90 different appellations, Drouhin offers a fascinating array of Burgundy terroirs.

Winemakers Tasting Notes: 'One of the most subtle wines in all of Burgundy ! The colour may vary from cherry to ruby. A large palette of seductive aromas which can evolve, one minute to the next, from raspberry to kirsch. Later, the nose may display some truffle, mushroom or woody notes and, in some years, musky, even animal nuances. The aromas are always restrained and elegant. On the palate, a wonderful silky sensation, with very refined tannins. Intensity, velvety texture and lively freshness: this well-named wine is a masterpiece of harmony. The aftertaste is very delicate and leaves an impression of supreme refinement.' - Joseph Drouhin
