Prosper Maufoux is an outstanding historical wine estate in Burgundy. Located south of Beaune, in the heart of the route des Grands Crus, the Prosper Maufoux wine estate is spread around the Château de Saint-Aubin. Its exceptional vineyards are extended in the mythical terroirs of the Côte de Beaune: Saint-Aubin, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet.

The 1978 vintage in Burgundy is considered a very good year, with favorable weather conditions that allowed for the production of high-quality grapes. This vintage is often associated with wines that have excellent aging potential.
