Critics Ratings
Louis Latour Corton-Grancey Grand Cru 1996
‘A lightish dark ruby colour and a very expressive nose of ripe fruit with a hint of leather. This fruit concentration is seen clearly on the palate alongside some well-structured underlying vanilla from the oak and hints of bitter chocolate and black currant. A wine for the cellar.’ - Louis Latour
Louis Latour Corton-Grancey Grand Cru 1997
‘Consistent with the prior bottle, 7 years ago, this has turned out really lovely. Hard to pin down in a way, because I'm not sure it's done developing. Either way, this is a lovely wine, with an impressive balance of fruit and acid that really showcase the grape and place, not some style. Recommend at least 90 minutes in decanter as this was a bit unruly at first. Should hold at least 4-5 more years. At least.’ - Cellartracker.com (Oct 2016)
Louis Latour Aloxe-Corton 1e Cru Les Chaillots 1999
‘Even finer and more elegant than the Perrières with gorgeously pure pinot fruit and fine detail and the same intense minerality and impressive fruit/acid/tannin balance. A really pretty Aloxe.’- Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 89/100 (Apr 2002)
Louis Latour Domaine Latour Corton Grand Cru 1999
‘This bright, attractive cherry/ruby red coloured wine has perfumed aromas of red berries, strawberries and red fruit coulis. Medium to full bodied, the palate offers complex plump, fleshy red fruits with subtle vanilla oak flavours, balanced by supple, round tannins. A well structured and harmonious wine.’ - Louis Latour
