A Japanese Imari bowl, 19th century
the centre later with enamelled radiating alternating panels of flowerheads against an iron-red ground and with floral medallions against a foliate lattice ground, the centre moulded in relief and decorated with characters, wavy rim, the reverse similarly decorated with a stiff-leaf blue border, the foot with double blue-line decoration, 22cm diameter
