About this Item
Straddled between the Stellenbosch and Helderberg mountains, with less than 30 hectares of scattered high-altitude vineyards, Keermont was started by the Wraith family in 2003 and was formed by combining 2 adjacent farms. Relaxed yet quality-focused Alex Starey has been in charge of the wines since redevelopment and planting in 2005, producing the maiden 2007.

Critics Ratings
‘Refined flagship blend, 5 Bordeaux varieties with dash Syrah. 2014 ripe, as previous, but it shows more this vintage in subtle prune nuance to the dense fruit. Spent 2 years in oak, further 3 in bottle yet tannins still (attractively) firm, will reward good few years ageing.’ - Platter’s SA Wine Guide 2021, 4.5*
‘Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon based, with the remaining 37% divided between Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and a soupçon on Syrah, this cuvée is always released with some bottle age. The flavours are quite ripe, but there's a cool underlying elegance here complemented by granular tannins. 2020-24.’ - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2019, 93/100
