About this Item
Bond is the brainchild of legendary Napa Valley winemakers Bill Harlan and Bob Levy and produced by the team at cult winery Harlan Estate. They first developed the idea of producing Cabernet Sauvignon from carefully selected ‘Grand Cru’ vineyard sites around the region in 1996. Each of the five small vineyards (3-5 hectares) offer a unique terroir that expresses the pinnacle of Napa Cabernet. A blend of all the sites was also launched alongside the debut release in 1999, and is aptly named The Matriarch.
ST. EDEN is based upon an 11-acre rocky knoll that is part of a beautiful estate located just north of the Oakville Crossroad. Eden is an historical reference to this region's designation on nineteenth century maps.

Critics Ratings
‘From the valley floor, the 2010 St. Eden exhibits copious notes of creme de cassis, loamy, dusty soil undertones, forest floor, toasty oak and plenty of sweet tannin in its full-bodied, massive personality. Again, these wines are not meant for near-term gratification, so 5-6 years of cellaring is warranted. This is another 30-year wine from Bond.’ - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, 95/100 (Oct 2013)
‘Deep, saturated ruby. Highly complex nose combines black raspberry, menthol, licorice, smoke and graphite. Broad, sweet and extremely fine-grained, with lovely sweetness to the plush flavors of currant, minerals and mocha. With its perfectly integrated acidity and firm, noble tannins, this should enjoy a long and glorious evolution in the bottle.’ - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, 95+/100 (May 2013)
