A Victorian rosewood and brass inlaid travelling writing box, 19th century
the hinged rectangular brass-bound top centred by a later plaque enclosing a brown leather-lined and gilt-tooled writing surface, enclosing ink and pen compartments, a secret compartment below enclosing three drawers, the sides applied with a pair of recessed carrying handles, some damage, 19cm high, 50cm wide, 27,5cm deep; on a later sapele stand, 25cm high, 52cm wide, 29cm deep
