A bronze figure of a crowned Buddha, Burma, 19th century
with smiling face and downcast eyes, seated in vajrasana with flames to each knee, his left hand resting on his lap holding an alms bowl, his right above with downturned palm, with engraved 'jewelled' cape and necklaces, wearing an elaborate crown with flaming ornaments to each side, raised on an engraved stepped throne, 34,4cm high
