About this Item
André Perret grew up in Chavanay in the Northern Rhône Valley. In 1982, he returned home after completing a degree in viticulture and oenology and tended to some of his uncle’s vines. At the time Chavanay was in decline with only a couple of winemakers but André believed in the local terroirs and worked hard to promote the area and expand his own estate. Today, he is surrounded by many young, passionate vignerons. André is classic in his philosophy of respecting each individual terroir. He aims to make fresh and well-structured wines and his Condrieu bottlings are the standard-bearers for the entire appellation.

Critics Ratings
‘As usual, a prodigious effort, the 2011 Condrieu Coteaux du Chéry comes from one of the appellation’s great terroirs. It offers an intense, expansive perfume of honeysuckle, tangerine, lychee nut, white peach and spring flower notes, followed by an elegant, full-bodied white. In each vintage, this cuvée is consistently one of the top three or four wines made in Condrieu.’ - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, 96/100 (Dec 2012)
‘Delicate apricot nose. Creamy lemon with a touch of almonds. Some savoury mealy oak on the palate but there's delicate fruit holding its own to make a harmonious whole. Beautifully fresh on the finish.’ - Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, 17/20 (Nov 2012)
