About this Item

2011 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
6 (1 x 6) 750ml

Nestled under the southern foothills of Marlborough’s Wairau Valley, Clos Henri is run organically by the famous Sancerre wine growing family, Henri Bourgeois. The family founded the property after a worldwide search for a new slice of terroir, similar to their own in Sancerre, where ultra-premium Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir could be grown. Uniting 10 generations of winegrowing know-how from the Bourgeois family, Clos Henri produces textural, elegant wines that capture the intense Marlborough character and their sense of place.

Critics Ratings

‘Grassy and stony at the same time. A bit flinty – probably a touch reductive but in an attractive way. Tight and almost lean but all the more refreshing. Pure and long with grapefruity mouthwatering finish. You can see (and enjoy) the European restraining influence here.’ - Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson.com, 17.5/20 (Jul 2012)
