About this Item
With a history stretching back further than most domaines in the appellation, Delas Frères is considered one of the Rhône’s top producers. The domaine was formed in 1835 by Philippe Delas and Charles Audibert when they purchased Maisons Junique. Passed down the Delas family, by the 1960s, the estate had grown to include holdings in Côte-Rôtie, Hermitage, Cornas and Condrieu as well as in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. In 1993, Delas Freres was taken over by Louis Roederer. Today, Delas Frères is most recognised for its Syrah-based wines from the Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie and Crozes-Hermitages appellations.

Critics Ratings
‘A blend of fruit picked three weeks apart. Supercharged fruit character – singing indeed! Absolutely delicious peppery character and outstanding meatiness on the finish. This managed to show everything that is special about Syrah, and it has a supple structure that is really moreish. Punches way above its weight.’ - Richard Hemming MW, JancisRobinson.com, 18/20 (Sept 2014)
‘Sanguine, white pepper and iron notes flow from the start here, with supple cherry and red currant fruit at the core. Olive, bay and iron hints line the mouth-watering finish. A textbook old-school Cornas. Drink now through 2023.’ - James Molesworth, Wine Spectator, 91/100 (Oct 2014)
