About this Item
Maison Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey is a Burgundy producer based in the Côte de Beaune. It is known for its fine Chardonnay wines, and has most of its vineyard holdings in Saint-Aubin. The estate was established in 2005 by husband and wife Pierre-Yves Colin and Catherine Morey, both children of esteemed Burgundy winemakers. Colin had been winemaker at his family's winery since 1995 and in 2001 had started a négociant business with his wife. He left the family estate to establish his own label with a 6-hectare (15-acre) inheritance, the rest of the Colin vineyards going to his three siblings.

Critics Ratings
‘A spicy, cool and airy nose of slightly exotic white orchard fruit, acacia blossom and Asian tea nuances leads to rich and palate coating medium-bodied flavours as there is plenty of dry extract that adds a real sense of volume to the mid-palate. There is really lovely intensity and detail to the lemony and bone dry finish that is presently notably austere. This beauty will also require extended cellaring.’ - Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 91-93/100 (Jun 2013)
‘The 2011 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrieres comes from the higher reaches of the climat. It has a wonderful bouquet exhibiting enthralling delineation and a beguiling floral personality. The palate shimmers with vigor and race on the entry – beautifully integrated oak, an engaging silver thread of acidity and a mineral-rich finish that is paradoxically both elegant and intense. There is a sense of completeness here. A top Meursault for the vintage and one of Pierre-Yves finest 2011s. Drink 2014-2025+.’ - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, 95/100 (Aug 2013)
