About this Item

2011 Cannubi Boschis
1 (1 x 1) 750ml

This leading Barolo estate was founded by Luciano Sandrone in 1978. Luciano’s winemaking journey began at the young age of 14 when he started learning viticulture. He purchased his first vineyard on the Cannubi hill in 1977 with all of his savings and from his first vintage in 1978 until 1999, his wines were produced in his parents’ garage. He built a winery in 1998 where he could carry out his philosophy of producing wines of the utmost quality. Sandrone focuses on only native vines including Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto in the best areas of Barolo.

Critics Ratings

‘Cherry flavors mingle with wild herb and underbrush notes in this red. Shows purity and a linear profile, backed by a solid structure. More nervous and energetic than a lot of 2011s, presenting a lingering finish. Best from 2019 through 2032.’ - Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator, 93/100 (Nov 2015)
