Early Victorian enamel and diamond mourning bracelet, circa 1838
the bracelet of woven hair terminating in a blue and white enamel diamond-set clasp of Celtic design, highlighted with a pair of granulated diamond-set flowerheads set with twelve old mine-cut diamonds weighing approximately 0,92 carat, suspending a heart-shaped locket, collet-set to the centre with an old mine-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.08 carats enclosed by foliate white and blue enamel leaves, the reverse with glazed hair compartment, the locket engraved 'Francis Drew Obt. 23rd July 1838. Aged 19,approximate length of bracelet 180mm; accompanied by a paper label, Martin, Baskett & Martin, Cheltenham, Goldsmiths to the Queen
