“And alien tears will fill for him pity's long broken urn. For his mourners will all be outcast men, and outcasts always mourn.” The lines come from Oscar Wilde's poem, The Ballad of Reading Gaol, written in 1897, and are inscribed as the epitaph on his tomb in Père Lachaise Cemetery, Paris.
