A Chinese shagreen, ivory, bone and metal-mounted picnic set, Qing Dynasty, 18th/19th century
the case mounted with fine lappet-shaped metal mounts embossed with scrollwork and shou symbols, the shagreen body mounted with a pair of ivory rests and a circular cartouche, the reverse mounted with a loop handle, fitted with a knife, a pair of chopsticks and skewer, minor dents to the end cap, the case 21cm long
