carved with a jousting tournament, with five contestants armed with swords and shields flanked by a pair of equestrians, with courtiers looking on from pavilions and pagodas all amongst trees, with three carp in the foreground, chips, 21,9cm wide; fixed to a pierced foliate and prunus blossom-carved wooden stand, raised on a later stepped oval base, restoration, 33,5cm total height
