A Chinese 'Imari' bowl, Qing Dynasty, 18th century

the centre painted with flowerheads and scrolling foliage enclosed by a diaper band interspersed with six rondels each enclosing a flowerhead, the border with three sprays of flowerheads and scrolling foliage, within a double blue-line border, gilt rim, the reverse painted with flowerheads and scrolling foliage, raised on a low foot painted with flowerheads and diamond motifs, overall gilt highlights, extensive restorations, 30,4cm diameter
