A Japanese Imari bowl, Meiji period, 1868-1912
the centre decorated with a tree before a riverscape enclosed by a double blue-line border, the lobed sides decorated with six alternating panels of a bird and a figure at various pursuits, the reverse similarly decorated, raised on a low foot, the base with underglaze blue-line border, minor wear to the gilt highlights, 16cm diameter
