About this Item

A pair of Japanese Imari jars and covers, Meiji period, 1868-1912
each ovoid ribbed body decorated with alternating panels of pomegranates and flowering sprays of blossom enclosed by a dark blue ground, each cover similarly decorated with bell-shaped finial, restorations, 24cm high; and a Japanese Kutani koro and cover, Meiji period, 1868-1912, the ribbed bulbous body decorated with a panel of sages and small children, the reverse with a cockerel, the sides with lug handles, raised on four scroll and mask feet, the cover modelled with the figure of a small boy, iron-red inscription, chips, hairline crack, 15,5cm high
