A Japanese enamelled vase and cover, Taisho period, 20th century
the baluster body enamelled with a pair of yellow and green birds amongst peonies and chrysanthemums before a rocky outcrop, the reverse with a small bird in flight before cherry blossoms and a pair of stylised pheasants, the shoulder with brocaded border, the cover similarly decorated, surmounted by a mushroom-shaped finial, chips, 33,5cm high
