carved in high relief with minogame, the interior with an insect, lacking cover, 5,9cm high; a Japanese ivory diagnostic figure of a recumbent woman, Meiji period, 1868-1912, carved standing, with exposed chest and buttocks, one arm raised clasping the back of her head, raised on an oval base, loss to one hand,16,8cm high; and a Japanese ivory letter opener, Meiji period, 1868-1912, carved with a maiden and her attendant, enclosed by a shaped cartouche to one side and with a further maiden to the reverse, heightened with black staining, minor loss, 21,3cm long
