Founded in 1988 by the charismatic and universally admired Beyers Truter, known as the father of Pinotage for his abiding championing of the proudly South African grape, and chief winemaker at Kanonkop Estate from 1981 to 2003. Beyers is a member of the Cape Winemakers Guild, has been nominated for the IWC Wine Personality of the Year, and won the Robert Mondavi award for World Winemaker of the year in 1991. He has also won South African Wine Producer of the Year 2003, IWSC.

One of the flagship reds from this illustrious property, the Beyerskloof Faith has established itself as one on the showpieces in the SA Pinotage blend category.

'Faith is the top wine at Beyerskloof and is an almost equal blend of Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
