About the Session

Welgemeend Art Month is an initiative that stems from a passion for promoting art and culture in the greater Cape Town community. The ninth annual Art Month at Welgemeend, which takes place in August every year, is aimed at making private collections available for public viewing; and most importantly raising funds for essential maintenance and restoration of Welgemeend. It is collaboration between the Friends of Welgemeend, Strauss & Co, Delaire Graff, Frank and Lizelle Kilbourn and others, with the support of Jan van Riebeeck Hoërskool.

The two-bedroomed golf lodge with bathrooms-en-suite comes with a fully equipped kitchen, a patio with braai facilities overlooking a tranquil park, WiFi and DSTV. It is the ideal base from which to explore all that Fancourt has to offer. Book at any of the three restaurants on the estate, or explore vibrant George and its surrounds.

Golfers can play on the three Gary Player golf courses (early booking essential and at own cost) and guests have access to an array of facilities and activities including the renowned Fancourt Spa with an indoor heated Roman Bath and wellness treatments (treatments at own cost).

The Leisure Centre offers guests free access to a gymnasium, cinema, indoor heated and outdoor swimming pool. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy tennis, running and walking trails and can also schedule other adventures in the region.

Advanced booking is essential (specific available week schedules, from a Friday 14:00 to the next Friday 10:00). Valid for 24 months.
