About this Item
In 1962, Ridge made its first Monte Bello, and two years later its first zinfandel. Since that time, Ridge has championed single-vineyard winemaking, searching California for those rare and exceptional vineyards where climate, soil, and variety are ideally matched. For more than six decades, Ridge has been recognized by top critics, chefs and peers for consistent quality and steadfast approach to winemaking. Ridge is the largest farmer of organically certified grapes in Sonoma County and the Santa Cruz Mountains Appellation.
Geyserville is one of Ridge Vineyards' most iconic and historic vineyard sites, located in the Alexander Valley AVA of Sonoma County. This region is known for its warm climate and diverse soil types, which are well-suited to growing Zinfandel and other Mediterranean varieties. It is primarily a Zinfandel-based field blend produced from old vines grown.

Critics Ratings
‘Stunning richness. Fabuloso – so rich and rewarding and complex, almost like an old Ch Rayas. Positively caresses the palate.’ – Jancis Robinson, jancisrobinson.com, 19/20 (Mar 2010)
‘This hearty Zinfandel blend from Sonoma County is dense and earthy, delivering layers of complex cherry, wild berry, raspberry, cedar and spice, turning supple and polished, culminating in a long aftertaste.’ - James Laube, Wine Spectator, 92/100
