'The 2012 Windansea Pinot Noir comes from the 2.5-hectare block directly in front of the winery on denser clay and decomposed granite that tends to impart more structure. It has a fragrant bouquet with scents of redcurrant, red cherry, a touch of balsamic and dried herbs, all well defined and complex. The palate is medium-bodied with quite juicy, succulent tannins, a fine line of acidity with a Chinese five spice note entering stage left toward the finish.
