A pair of early George III silver sauce boats, Fuller White, London, 1761
each with scalloped rim, the side applied with a leaf-capped scroll handle, raised on three ball-and-claw feet headed by shell motifs, engraved A W*S, minor dent, 19,1cm long, 595g all in; and an oak presentation box retailed by Tessiers Ltd Silversmiths, 26 New Bond St., London, W., the hinged cover applied with a plaque engraved To S.L. Lloyd a token of esteem from his Shell friends in Southern Africa 27 May 1958, enclosing a pair of green baize-lined compartments, scratches, 12,4cm high, 24,3cm wide, 24cm deep
