About this Item
“My dedication through forty years of winemaking has been essentially with the Pinot Noir grape. In 1981 I had a lightbulb moment when I arrived in Hermanus with the first vintage tank of Pinot Noir. I put my hand on the tank, and I knew we were onto something good.” - Peter Finlayson
100% Pinot Noir
The majority of grapes supplied for this cuvée are from the oldest vines on the property, with the average vine age exceeding 22 years. Fermented for 21 days with 30% whole bunch complement. Matured for fifteen months in new French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: Fresh cranberry and juicy plum aromas weave through savoury, exotic spices. Powered by sleek and well-defined tannins, the wine glides elegantly across the length of the palate.
40 Cases of this wine were sold on the 2021 auction.
