Footnote 2: Site Reading, 2022
the cotton panel woven in shades of brown, red and black, framed
25 by 18cm, excluding frame; 46 by 33 by 10cm including frame

Notes

This work is taken from a series of eight “footnotes” from the body of work Depth Perception. These were woven parallel to much larger pieces and function as references to the scaled-up installations. This work was woven in a weave structure called “shadow weave”, which creates optical patterns based on the interaction of different coloured threads. It features a meandering thread, a thought path to follow through with the eye.

Exhibited

SMAC Gallery, Cape Town, Depth Perception 2022.
