About this Item
Nestled between majestic mountains on the Helshoogte pass, Delaire was established by John and Erica Platter in the early 1980s and is now one of the jewels in the Cape Winelands. Current owner, luxury brand mogul, Laurence Graff, has transformed the 'vineyards in the clouds' into a Cape art, hospitality and wine destination bar none. Under the auspice of winemaker Morne Vrey, Delaire Graff has amassed a host of awards and is listed as a ‘first growth’ producer by Tim Atkin MW.

'Floral perfume, herbs, thatch and citrus on the nose while the palate shows pure fruit and racy acidity before a dry finish. Delicate, intricate and long.' - WINEMAG.co.za 10-Year-Old Wine Report 2024, 95/100
'Sauvignon with 27% semillon, which was bunch pressed. Barrel ferment for both, oak aged 10 months, adding gentle oat biscuit tone to the classic fruit profile of this partnership: green fig & lemongrass with waxy-lanolin overlay, the brisk acid fitting perfectly. 2021 fresh, focused, has style & verve.' - Platter's SA Wine Guide 2017, 4.5*
'An equal blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, both of which were fermented in (10% new) French oak, this is a mealy, blackcurrant leaf-scented white with subtle wood, tangy grapefruit and gooseberry fruit, taut acidity and a long refreshing finish.' - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2016, 94/100
