'First Thought Cabernet Sauvignon is from a modern, early ripening clone on north-westerly facing slopes. Matured for 18 months in French oak, 100% new, the nose shows red currant and plums, rose petal and the merest hint of fynbos. 'The Last Word is picked three weeks later than First Thought and hails from a virus-free block in the lower part of the farm. It's a classic style, with supple, granular tannins, plenty of grassy perfume and stylishly handled new oak.
