A Chinese Export lacquered and gilt wooden sewing box, late 19th/early 20th century
hexagonal, fitted with a lacquered compartment comprising nineteen divisions with detachable gilt covers and ivory sewing accessories, the exterior painted in gilt with figures amongst pavilions and boats on a waterway, the hinged lid painted with gilt initials, raised on four gilt feet, lacking two feet, 14cm high, 28cm wide, 21cm deep
