Notes
The bristles clearly allude to caterpillar spines and hairs which protect the soft bodies of the creature from predators. While it signifies fortification it likewise signifies vulnerability. The larval skin as garment seemingly designed for human use evokes the idea of armour and the need for bodily protection.
