About this Item
Poderi Aldo Conterno is a Piedmont producer known for its wines from the best parcels of the Bussia vineyard in Monforte d'Alba. Aldo Conterno, who died in 2012, was regarded by many as the greatest of all Barolo winemakers. The business was founded in 1969 when Aldo bought the Favot estate with its Bussia holdings. For the previous eight years, he had managed Giacomo Conterno with his brother, but left to make wines in a less resolutely traditionalist environment. The estate is now run by his three sons.
The Bussiador Langhe wine is a Chardonnay produced by Aldo Conterno from vineyards located in the Langhe region. While Barolo is the estate's flagship wine, Bussiador showcases their ability to craft outstanding white wines as well.

Critics Ratings
‘Old-fashioned in the best sense. The appley nose is gently smoky, with a good deal of spice from the oak. Rich and creamy, with a lovely texture and fine acidity. Long and stylish, with bite on the finish.’ - Stephen Brook, Decanter, 91/100
‘A white Burgundy lookalike, boasting plenty of floral, peach, apple and citrus flavors, accented by baking spice and mineral elements. Impressive, lingering with a hint of bitter citrus.’ - Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator, 90/100
