About this Item
Giuseppe Quintarelli is a legendary property located in the hills of northern Verona, in the heart of the Valpolicella appellation. In 1950, Giuseppe Quintarelli took over the management of his family’s vineyards and winery and built up his legacy as the godfather of Amarone. A true perfectionist, Giuseppe only allowed his world-renowned Amarone della Valpolicella to be made in the very best years. Over a 60-year period, Giuseppe made the estate one of the most celebrated wineries in Veneto. After passing away in 2012, Giuseppe’s daughter Fiorenza, son-in-law Giampaolo, and his grandsons Francesco and Lorenzo, continue to produce masterful, artisan wines of the highest quality.
Rosso del Bepi is one of the flagship wines produced by Giuseppe Quintarelli. It is a red wine crafted from a blend of indigenous grape varieties, including Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and others, sourced from the estate's vineyards. The wine is named after Giuseppe Quintarelli himself, known affectionately as "Bepi."

Critics Ratings
‘The 2002 Rosso del Bepi flows with tons of elegance in its dark red fruit, cocoa, spices, sage, and crushed flowers. This is a beautifully rich, concentrated red with gorgeous length, finessed tannins and superb overall balance. Rosso del Bepi is the label Quintarelli uses for wines that don’t meet his exacting standards for Amarone. While the 2002 Rosso del Bepi doesn’t quite have the requisite richness to be an Amarone, it is a totally compelling, harmonious wine all the same. It is a superb bottle for the dinner table, where its mineral-infused brightness will pair well with food.’ - Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate, 93/100
