About this Item
Dominio de Pingus is a small producer in the Ribero del Duero region in Spain. First made in 1995, it immediately developed a cult status following rave reviews from Robert Parker in the Wine Advocate, and is now regarded as one of the greatest wines made in Spain, hotly sought-after and priced accordingly.
Flor de Pingus is the second wine of Dominio de Pingus, created as a more accessible and approachable expression of the estate's winemaking philosophy.

Critics Ratings
‘Dark crimson. Thick and dramatic and much more like the Ribera stereotype than the Psi. Marked acidity and colour. But confidently comfortable even if not yet ready. Thick.’ - Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, 17/20 (Oct 2013)‘
'(made from purchased fruit in the La Horra sector of the region and from vines that average more than 35 years of age and yield between 20 and 25 hectoliters per hectare): Vivid purple. Ripe cherry, cassis, potpourri and cracked pepper on the intensely perfumed nose, with subtle licorice and woodsmoke qualities adding complexity. Deep, sweet and expansive, offering explosive dark berry compote, floral pastille and anise flavors. A spicy quality gains strength on the finish, which leaves smoke and mineral notes behind. This bottling has been going from strength to strength in recent years and offers superb value relative to its ritzy Pingus sibling.’ - Josh Raynolds, Vinous, 94/100 (Sep 2012)
‘This muscular red offers savory flavors of tobacco, earth and game, with a core of plum fruit and bitter chocolate. A rugged structure appears under the polished texture. Best from 2014 through 2022.’ - Thomas Matthews, Wine Spectator, 91/100
