About this Item
Graham Beck, founded in 1983 and situated in the Breede River Valley, is one of South Africa's leading estates. Pieter Ferreira, who's affectionately known as Bubbles (because of his passion for Méthode Cap Classique and Champagne), has been the driving force at Graham Beck since 1990. They were one of the first farms to be awarded WWF Conservation Champion Status and have undertaken a number of environmental and philanthropic initiatives.
The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were whole bunch pressed and only the cuvee fraction used. A small portion of Chardonnay was fermented in Piece Champenoise barrel to promote the creamy texture and complexity. The Pinot Noir adds palate weight and length of flavour. The wine was matured for 50 months on the lees prior to disgorgement.
Tasting Notes: Gentle mineral notes with fresh lime and ripe citrus on the nose. Rich raspberry notes burst on the palate with a creamy and gentle mousse, ensuring richness and finesse.

Critics Ratings
‘Pale gold. Very leesy citrus on the nose, sour-dough bread. Layered richness and sharpness, power and structure yet with a surprisingly delicate mousse. Good length. I'd rather drink this than any number of champagnes that are widely available today.’ - Tamlyn Currin, jancisrobinson.com, 16.5/20 (Sep 2013)
