About this Item
Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is one of the most famous producers in Burgundy. Its lineage dates back to the mid-1400s. The Musigny vines themselves were first mentioned in 1528. The family is part of the history of Chambolle-Musigny, where they produce elegant, highly-collectable and long-ageing Pinot Noirs. The estate has around 70% of its land in the Le Musigny Grand Cru vineyard and 2.7 hectares of Bonnes-Mares. Vines are also held in the famous Les Amoureuses Premier Cru vineyard, as well as Les Baudes and Les Fuées. De Vogüé is rare in that it is one of the only domaines in Burgundy that can trace its history so far back in the region's timeline.
Bonnes-Mares is one of the most esteemed Grand Cru vineyards in Burgundy, situated in the communes of Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis. It is known for producing wines of exceptional quality and complexity, with a unique expression of terroir.

Critics Ratings
‘The 2001 De Vogüé Bonnes Mares exhibited uncommon depth and richness in the luxuriousness of its vibrant fruit, with a personality that was delicate yet powerful. Still very much an infant, it was a privilege to catch this gorgeous wine in its youth.’ - Antonio Galloni, Vinous, 94/100 (March 2007)
‘(opened from personal storage). This has continued its upward development while still maintaining its superb aromatic density with still relatively primary aromas of blueberries, earth and animale notes. There is good power and concentation to the intense yet refined flavors that are underpinned by a firm but ripe tannic spine on the wonderfully long finish. This is developing beautifully and while there are still a few more years of unrealized upside potential in store, this is not so far away that it would be a vinous crime to open a bottle now. In a word, gorgeous.’ - Allen Meadows, Burghound, 93/100 (July 2013)
