About this Item
Domaine Jean Tardy et Fils is a producer based in the commune of Flagey-Echézeaux in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits region. The domaine's small parcel of 80-year-old vines in the grand cru climat of Les Treux in Echézeaux produces its finest Pinot Noir and, since 2010, the company has also added an Aux Argillas wine to its portfolio of mainly village- and regional-level Pinot Noirs.
Echézeaux Les Treux Vieilles Vignes is a premier cru vineyard located in the Vosne-Romanée appellation of Burgundy, renowned for producing high-quality Pinot Noir wines. Vieilles Vignes indicates that the grapes for this wine come from old vines, which often contribute to wines of greater complexity and depth.

Critics Ratings
‘Moderate wood influence sets off equally ripe yet spicier black fruit aromas that retain a hint of the sauvage, which makes for an interesting contrast of refinement and a certain flora/fauna character that continues onto the reserved, intense but robust and powerful flavors that possess plenty of underlying extract and real finishing drive. The velvety texture renders the firm but ripe tannins almost invisible but they're definitely present and this should require the better part of a decade to reveal its full potential.’ - Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 92/100 (Jan 2009)
‘Lovely richness – yes, I can see it’s worth following his other wines to get this. Richness and energy – utterly vibrant, though an undertow of pretty tough tannins.’ - Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, 17.5/20 (Jan 2008)
