About this Item
Domaine Jean Tardy et Fils is a producer based in the commune of Flagey-Echézeaux in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits region. The domaine's small parcel of 80-year-old vines in the grand cru climat of Les Treux in Echézeaux produces its finest Pinot Noir and, since 2010, the company has also added an Aux Argillas wine to its portfolio of mainly village- and regional-level Pinot Noirs.
Echézeaux Les Treux Vieilles Vignes is a premier cru vineyard located in the Vosne-Romanée appellation of Burgundy, renowned for producing high-quality Pinot Noir wines. Vieilles Vignes indicates that the grapes for this wine come from old vines, which often contribute to wines of greater complexity and depth.

Critics Ratings
‘Generous but not dominant wood influence frames the red berry and black raspberry liqueur nose that is followed by earthy, intense and chewy full-bodied flavors that are textured, concentrated and mouth coating, particularly on the robust and very firm finish that offers excellent length. This is a big wine of impressive dimensions if not necessarily much finesse as it's built like a linebacker and will require commensurate time.’ - Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 93/100 (Jan 2008)
